My musicianship.
I've been active on stage since 2019. Hurdy-gurdy is without a doubt the instrument I feel most at home with, but I also very much love to fulfil the lower alto part in a vocal harmony.
Through the years I have played in various musical projects that challenged me to broaden my horizon and apply my instrument in new and exciting ways. Exploring a wider range of styles is something that greatly interests and inspires me.
I am currently active as a permanent band member in Idun's Apples (pagan folk) and Vlier (balfolk), but I also always enjoy working as a session musician in various kinds of musical projects!
Active musical projects.
Idun's Apples | Pagan folk
Inspired by Celtic and Norse sagas, historical music and literature, witchcraft, and cats, Idun's Apples weaves the sounds of the harp, violin, nyckelharpa, viola da gamba, hurdy-gurdy, and vocals into playful songs and enchanting melodies.

Vlier | Balfolk
Fertilised by their combined experiences in folk music from different parts of Europe, Vlier uses the hurdy-gurdy, violin, Irish bouzouki, and mandolin to sow melodies into the dance floor that sprout into untamed bourrées, springlike cercles, and blossomy mazurkas.

Past musical projects.
Waldkauz
Waldkauz is a German pagan folk(rock) band. In 2019 I played with them as a session musician on hurdy-gurdy and backing vocals, during which I have built up lots of stage experience, as well as many wonderful memories.
Meidi Goh's Heartstrings
Heartstrings is the musical project surrounding Meidi Goh (NL) her own music. Together with a collective of musicians she brings her enchanting music to the stage, to which I may contribute with hurdy-gurdy and vocals.
HAVAN
Hanne Vanhyfte-Dollery is a Belgian songwriter, musician, and producer. In 2022 I've had the pleasure to work with her on one of her singles, which was recorded in a very inspiring, acoustic studio session.

Hurdy-gurdy in your musical project?
I am always open to new musical experiences and challenges, and feel very comfortable as a session musician.
